Thierry B Fine Art: Artist Alan Annells
Yesterday an old friend, Alan Annells dropped by the gallery to show me what he has been keeping him busier than usual lately. My jaw dropped becuase I haven't seen his sculptural works as I have only ever known him predominently as a painter. I convinced him to allow me to find the right homes for these beautiful works and have set them up as pride of place in the window. What do you think?

The series of three sculptures is entitled 'Reflection of Self'. They have evolved from an earlier series of paintings inspired from a visit to the Kimberley region. Back in his studio, Alan reflected on the landscape which profoundly made him evaluate the way he sees and creates his work. The sculpture is a part of the journey and symbolises how looking at our environement can make one reflect and look forward all at the same time.
The sculptures are cast in solid bronze with stainless steel with a steel base.They are all unique and available now at the gallery Monday - Saturday 11am-5pm
